Fried Green Tomato Salad

Fried green tomatoes are, in my humble opinion, one of the best summer foods! So essentially southern, this classic gets a twist by combining it with the elements of a traditional caprese salad. The warm tomatoes (because you have to eat them right out of the skillet!) melts the mozzarella, the heaviness of the fried tomatoes is perfectly but by the sharp sweetness of the balsamic glaze, and the fresh basil sends it right over the top!

Eat alone or on a bed of mixed greens with a light balsamic vinaigrette for the perfect summer salad!
